Hunter Douglas: Making Window Coverings Sexy

2025–2026

Global Head of Brand — brand implementation in 12 countries

Hired and coordinated the agency through a global rebrand, with hands-on creative direction. Liaised with country CEOs and marketing directors across the US, UK, Europe, Brazil, Australia and Japan — turning the brand book into real implementation in 12 countries. The TVC created from the brand platform I originated has reached 9M+ views on YouTube. I also lead the full-funnel strategy for global campaigns, experimenting with video-based AI tools blended with human craft — key products have grown up to high double digits, together with brand awareness and key attributes.

Big Beer Beyond Advertising: Building Brand Connection at Scale

2017–2019

Brand, marketing & commercial strategy — founded the Culture & Relationship Division. Built in Brazil, scaled globally.

I designed the brand and marketing strategy behind this work. Across Stella Artois, Corona and Budweiser I founded the Culture & Relationship Division — brand-connection platforms built from culture, content and earned media rather than traditional advertising, then scaled through mass influencer activation and an always-on content engine that turned live moments into campaigns.

Budweiser Music Platform - From Grassroots to Mainstream

TagWords — Cannes Print Grand Prix

2018

Instead of buying expensive image rights, the campaign used minimalist prints, billboards, and coasters featuring specific combinations of search terms, such as "1969 Woodstock Audience Budweiser". When music fans typed these words into Google Images, they instantly discovered authentic, historic photos of rock and hip-hop icons holding a Budweiser bottle.

Handyman Sushi: Edomae Sushi & Records

Personal project

Founder & chef — creative direction, logo, menu development, sourcing and service

Handyman Sushi is my Edomae-style sushi and records omakase supper club, hosted in my flat in London Fields, Hackney. Six guests gather around the counter for a seasonal menu of small plates and sushi, accompanied by full vinyl albums I select. I do literally everything: creative direction and logo design, menu development, ingredient sourcing, preparation and, of course, the service. After more than a decade of self-taught sushi practice, I graduated in Japan with Master Distinction from Narita Sushi School's professional omakase course. It's where my work in branding meets my love of food, music and hosting.

About

Welcome. I'm Pedro Zuim — a creative problem solver who's built a career across marketing, innovation and culture.

It started early. I was building robot kits as a kid, teaching samba percussion at sixteen, running counter-strike broadcasts over mIRC, and co-founding one of Brazil's first esports news sites and influencer marketing agencies — always chasing the edge of culture - while bodysurfing the waves of Rio.

That instinct became a career. At AB InBev and ZX Ventures, I founded the Cultural Marketing discipline, helping shift the mindset of the world's biggest brewer — proof that culture could outperform traditional advertising at scale. When Future Farm's founder called looking for someone to take the brand international, I ended up being the answer myself — becoming its first international hire and leading the brand into 30 countries, turning it into one of plant-based's most recognised challengers.

Today, I lead brand marketing globally at Hunter Douglas — architect, builder, and operator, depending on what the brand needs.

Outside of work, the same curiosity shows up differently: in the kitchen or on a dancefloor.

This site brings both sides together — the commercial and the personal, side by side.
